About Mijaku Mijaku was founded by an association called Mijaku Noyaa in 2002, in response to lack of information, education and entertainment in the print media for the people in Accra. This initiative resulted from discussions on the Vibe FM program “Logorligi” with its host the late Tonny Ardey aka Ataa Tompa. Mijaku became the first and only newspaper exclusively for Accra; a monthly print newspaper which became an essential voice for the people of Accra, and an indispensable tool of empowerment.
Shortly after the publication launched, Nii Marma Markwei took the reigns as editor. Since then the Mijaku has moved online to expand its reach beyond the borders of Ghana to Europe, America, and the rest of the world.
Our Mission Mijaku's mission is to empower the GaDagema people and the people living in Accra by providing them with reliable facts and current information on Accra. We are committed to inspiring Accra to embrace history, culture, language, economy, sports, and all things that are its foundation. Nii Marma About Nii Marma, Mijaku Editor
